For this area of work we were presented with various objects and were asked to bring in anything from home that may be interesting when projected/reflected etc. These included wire sculptures, glass pebbles, glass bottles and even a cake stand. We used the lightbox, overhead projector and lights (to cast shadows). So, using the macro setting on the cameras, we were able to take pictures of the objects that were successful when paired with light.
As i have always been a fan of photography, i really enjoyed doing this. At first i found putting the random objects together to make something interesting and creative quite difficult, especially because i usually prefer to take pictures of people. But after joining up with my friends i eventually managed to get some interesting pictures.
I enjoyed learning how to layer in photoshop, and how to use photoshop in general seen as i've never used it much in the past.
This allowed me to develop a large number of final images using the same pictures repeatedly that all looked completely different.
Although only a few of my images are shown above, i think all of my final pieces were successful. I think if i was to do this again i could produce some better images both because i am familiar with photoshop now and i'm more comfortable with creating interesting effects with the objects and different light sources.
